Finally Fallen

Just a quick one today.

My results for 2nd Year, Semester 2 had introduced me the one unit, despite my (arguable) best efforts, that finally brought me down to my knees. Engineering Mathematics 233. This was supposed to be my last Maths unit so I was anxious to complete it, but what a shock to me it was to witness the final question paper. FUCKING HARD.

Good thing I had already expected I failed the unit so it did dampen the blow a bit. No idea how many people failed as well, but huge bunch of my batch agreed that it was the toughest paper of all. So hopefully I’m able to repeat this unit during my 3rd Year Sem 2 (Feb 2010) so I don’t have to extend my stay in Curtin.

About the rest, kinda moderate actually. Got a Distinction for Machine Dynamics 231 and a Credit for the rest. No 5 this time yey (but no High Distinction either). I had very weak internal marks this semester, so that should explain the final marks. I guess Strength of Materials was quite a disappointment; but that’s the mark you get when you didn’t prepare for certain topics that never came out in the Past Years with absolute confidence but suddenly they pop their heads out in your final paper, taunting you.

Anyway, I want to say congratulations to my friends who got good results this time. Congratulations also to those who got pretty low marks but managed to pass all units. And to those who failed certain units, congratulations for, uh, not failing every unit ;P
