Staying Positive before the Finals

This post is dedicated to all my friends in Curtin, both Sarawak & Perth, and any one of you who are going to hand in your huge pile of assignments, and weeks later, sit for the final exam.

I believe all of us are under stress right now, and we wish that our loved ones are here with us to give their support. What with the pages and pages of assignments NOT done, with projects going nowhere, with other activities such as upcoming performances or events… and still have to worry about those unread lecture notes. Sometime it feels like the Finals will creep up, pin you down and slap you over and over and you can do nothing about it.

So what we need now is a miracle to happen. If you don’t believe in miracles, here’s a story.

Say, one night you are doing your work and you finally decide to take a break and have dinner. Going out, or cook anything might take too much time form your break, so you settle with something more simple: a Maggi Hot Cup you just bought earlier at a nearby Petronas store, because you know your night will be a restless one.

You start to boil some water, tear out the plastic wrap and then take the foil off. And “WTF?”, you uttered, amazed by the sight of what undoubtedly is something many would call a miracle.

You got TWO forks! :D In a flash, faith is restored, and life has meaning again :) . HEHE

Well my point is, do appreciate the little good things in your day. They may not be much, but they keep you going.

Anyway, since I’m on the topic, I just feel like saying here that I think the Maggi Hot Cup fork is such a simple, but effective engineering feat. It folds out SIDEWAYS so that it won’t fold in back when you’re eating the noodle. Other brands should take note.

Good luck everyone!
